I’m a clinically trained Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, who combines evidence-based functional nutrition training with spirituality, self-compassion and high-performance living!
I practice this way because I understand that health isn’t only about our physical needs, but our emotional needs as well. The way we think about ourselves, the daily habits that we practice, very much impacts the way we treat ourselves and others.
I've spent 25 years studying the field of food science and human nutrition, and over the last 15 years, I have become focused on practicing with a passionate approach that encompasses the whole self; body, mind and spirit. I've trained hard working entrepreneurs nationwide, CEOS in massively successful companies, Olympians-in-training, competitive athletes of all ages, families with life-threatening allergies, and nutrition students from around the globe.
Today, I’m on a mission to help individuals, families, corporations and communities find relief from the health concerns that are holding them back from living their best life. I’m also here to help others realize limiting beliefs, and that our self-worth, success and joy are not dictated by the number on the scale, the opinion of others, or what we ate for lunch.

Here's my (very short version) story:
When I was 12 years old, I had my first of many independent shifts and decided I was a vegetarian! My parents tried to be supportive, but clearly weren't experts on the topic of children's nutrition. After months of watching me execute my own diet, it was clear that my parents literally did not know what to do with me. After months of struggling to figure it out on my own and ending up terribly confused about my actual needs (all the while existing on bagels, cereal, carrots and fruit), they referred me to a dietitian. And thankfully so.....when I arrived at that first meeting, I was 95 pounds soaking wet (and 5'4" at that time) and truly thought I was "healthy." Little did I know how distorted my body image was, and how far off my diet was from being nutritious or nourishing. (Not to mention, I was missing deficient in iron, protein, fat, B-12, Omega 3 fatty acids, and Vitamin D (and those were just the known issues)!
So you see, long before my formal studies in nutrition began, I became fascinated with absorbing everything I could read, watch or review about nutrition and health. I poured myself into my studies- the physiology and psychology of creating and sustaining health became my obsession. Fast forward several years of self study and I finally was able to pursue a more formal nutrition science degree in college. As a collegiate cross country runner, my first year away was a bit of culture shock...I learned all about caffeine, alcohol and pizza pipelines 2am delivery service. It was a good thing I was running 70 miles a week at this point, or my newfound habits would've likely been even worse than the outcomes that followed.
I consider the three years that followed my real awakening in my knowledge of my own body, tendencies and a new respect for my ability to be affected by my choices. In the first year away, I developed headaches, allergies, chronic sinus infections and a host of food sensitivities (likely due to my leaky gut). Thanks again to my wise mentors who sent me to a Naturopathic doctor to get some answers.
A slew of tests were run, a bunch of tincture were made and this young girl was out the door with food sensitivity results in hand and a new way of life lying ahead. What I didn't expect is the health that followed...90 days later, I was free of all of my symptoms. I was not longer dealing with congestion, IBS, chronic headaches and episodes of infection. Those three hard months when I radically changed my habits, those were the start of my new belief into the world of FOOD AS MEDICINE.
With reclaimed health, I was able to apply myself more joyfully to my studies and a short time later, I found myself at my WSU graduation, where I graduated with honors and a degree in Food Science & Human Nutrition. By this point, I was only 21 years young, but I was ALL IN. I had become aligned with my purpose and became increasingly fixated on helping others feel and perform their best in life. In the years that followed, I chased my love of nutrition to hospitals, dialysis centers, long-term care facilities, cooking alongside private chefs, teaching classes in outpatient settings, working within various schools, working in several hospital kitchens and doing education in outpatient clinics.
My passions (and my middle school sweetheart) brought me back to my hometown of Vancouver, WA in 2003.
My love of helping people feel their best and my entrepreneurial blood, led me to open a spa and a coffee shop in my first decade out for this healthy lifestyle coaching, stems from the fact that I know that the struggle is real (life is challenging). I also know the power of creating change and positive momentum in your life, and what it takes to pivot towards what lights you up in life.
In my coaching practice, I've been listening to my clients, helping address root cause imbalances, and encouraging the "baby steps approach" to promote positive changes in their health. By working with curious self-compassion, it allows us to identify and overcome the challenges that affect energy, mental focus and joy!
By achieving greater levels of vibrancy and energy, along with improved mental clarity, you can focus on what matters most, you can overcome your roadblocks, and show up better in life for yourself, your family, your friends, your company and your clients.
